Sunflowers

I keep returning to drawing and painting sunflowers and I am working on a painting for a client. Throughout history, artists have frequently painted sunflowers.

I like all the texture and colours used in Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, painted in 1887.

I also love this painting, The Artist’s Garden At Vetheuil, 1881 by Claude Monet and all the sunflowers in his own garden.

Back to my Ink, collage and watercolour in my sketchbook.

and I have been using different yellow shades, cool and warm colours.
